Lagos Holds Carol of Nine Lesson for Students, advised them to shun Ungodly Attitudes

The Lagos State held Carol of Nine Lessons for students. It is an annual event organized by Education District 1 to mark the completion of the year.

Speaking at the event, the Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Education District 1, Barrister Titilayo Solarin, advised the students to desist from ungodly attitudes that could hamper their academic pursuit.

Represented by the Director of Admin and Human Resources in the District, Mrs. Grace Olubunmi-Olaopin, Barrister Solarin urged the students to spend the holiday in seeking the face of God.

She said:

“We cannot over-emphasis the challenges encountered by our education system this year. It was sudden and unexpected.

“While we are grateful for the smooth return of activities in our schools, it is also important to use the opportunity of this end of the year holiday to seek the face of God to help avert a re-occurrence of anything that is capable of threatening our academic calendar.

“I want our students to remember that Jesus came to this world for all of us. He didn’t just come, he came and died. So, I implore all our students not to live a life that will be contrary to what Jesus stood for, which is holiness.”

Moreover, she cautioned students to be aware of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria. Barrister Solarin encouraged them to adhere and comply with all COVID-19 measures and protocols for their safety during this yuletide.
